Shoes have undergone many technological changes over the years. Recently there has been a lot of discussion about the role and design of footwear, especially in sports such as running. This has certainly led to a lot of confusion about which shoe is correct for you. We work to clarify what is best for you. We will take multiple important factors into consideration, such as:
the unique way your feet work walking and/or running
the sports you play or activities you are involved in
the wear patterns on old pairs of shoes
any injury history

We work seamlessly with footwear manufacturers and retailers to ensure you get the perfect fit. Our podiatrists are regularly asked by footwear manufacturers to provide expert feedback on present and future footwear design and prescription. You will often find us running around in current and prototype shoes getting a feel for the ever-evolving footwear trends. Ben also works closely with sports footwear leaders, Asics, attending regional and international events to discuss footwear design and implementation.

"If I need orthotics, will that mean I have to change all of my shoes?"
A common concern you may have about your footwear after being prescribed orthotics is whether you will now be restricted in what you can wear. Whilst orthotics can mildly affect the fit of a shoe, we will work closely with you to ensure you are not significantly limited in footwear choice by having a range of orthotic designs available.
